Description

Upon completion of the module, delegates will: - Have knowledge of substance misuse, the different types and how this occurs - Have knowledge of the most commonly used prescribed and over the counter medications along with their potential for causing harm - Have awareness of alcohol, the law around drink driving and how to access alcohol support - Have knowledge of the chemicals that form tobacco and the long term health implications tobacco can have as well a tips oh how to access support and stop smoking practical tips - Understand the different classes of drugs, most commonly used drugs and advice on where to seek support - Receive advice on how to speak to a friend or family member in relation to their substance use
