Description

All LGV and PCV driver’s will complete 7 hours of approved training, with all candidates participating in interactive discussions so they obtain valuable knowledge and information regarding Health and safety in their working environments. All candidates should understand how their roles and actions can affects others including the public. To be able to demonstrate an understanding hazards and options available to drivers who work at height, the hazards with Slip trips and falls, and an understanding of the dangers involved with manual handling, acute and chronic effects.
Candidates will have an understanding of their roles and responsibility with regards to PPE, and why the importance of been issued with the correct PPE and having to wear them.
Drivers will leave understanding the latest changes in law regarding offences, including fines, penalty points and custodial sentences. Also the use of Satellite navigation systems, the problems and issues professional drivers could face.
Driver fatigue is a serious issue so drivers will leave the course understanding the serious nature. The signs and symptoms of driver fatigue and the importance of adequate rest.
Upon completion of the 7 hours training course candidates will leave with a better understanding and being more proactive with safety for themselves and others who may be affected.
