By the end of the session, drivers will have an understanding of:
how to be vigilant in all weather conditions and what to expect during the different seasons
What they should do if they receive a PG Notice and the implications it can cause
How to conduct effective daily checks to ensure PG Notices are not received
How to thoroughly check their vehicle for illegal immigrants and tampering signs to look out for
Being mindful of the expiry of a driving licence and DCPC qualifications and the responsibility of keeping up to date with training
How to inform the DVLA of any existing medical conditions worsening or new conditions and the effects these could have on their career
Understanding their vehicle dimensions, where to find the information and what to look for to avoid low bridge strikes.
The implications and prosecution involved by the DVA, TC and Rail Network if a driver is involved in a bridge strike
