Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA)

Description

The delegates will start with discussing the type of loads they carry and the risks that come with it. Then they will be learn how to secure a load, know what a projecting load is and the importance of not overloading a vehicle. The course also covers how to load either manual handling or by a mechanical aid and the effects on the O licence if regulations are not adhered too.

Also delegates will be able to complete a comprehensive daily vehicle check and made aware of the consequences if the checks are carried out correctly. This will be end with a practical case study session where candidates complete a series of case studies and discuss as a group what they have found afterwards.
