A. To improve drivers’ understanding of drivers’ working hours, regulations, use of tachographs and to minimise errors in compliance.
B. To prompt professionalism in the way drivers deal with vulnerable road users.
C. To ensure drivers understand the need for efficient daily vehicle checks and fully appreciate their responsibilities.
D. To improve drivers’ understanding of their legal requirements.
E. To understand the basic principles of safe and fuel efficient driving and to establish best professional driving practice.
F. To improve drivers’ knowledge of Smart Motorways.
G. To ensure drivers can load their vehicle safely and understand the basics of manual handling and fire safety.
H. To understand the importance of being able to work with others.
I. To understand the basic principles of Driver Wellbeing.
J. To improve drivers’ awareness of mental health and ability.
K. To improve drivers’ knowledge of what Safe Guarding is and their role.
O. To ensure drivers are fully aware of how to complete a Dynamic Risk Assessment.
