Advanced Driving Techniques and Vehicle Pre-Use Checks

Description

The objectives of this course:

⁃ to allow the drivers to use these driving techniques and advise them of how to put them into practice in the real world.

⁃ By the end of the course the drivers will be able to describe and put into practice how to drive their commercial vehicle in a fuel efficient and safe way. In addition they will understand the importance of driving in this manner.

⁃ Drivers will also be shown the key principals of a robust and effective vehicle pre-use check(walk round check) and reporting system. They will also understand the consequences of not undertaking a satisfactory check and the impact this could have on them as a professional driver, but also the operator.
