1. To improve drivers’ understanding of drivers’ working hours, regulations, use of tachographs and to minimise errors
in compliance.
2. To prompt professionalism in the way drivers deal with vulnerable road users.
3. To ensure drivers understand the need for efficient daily vehicle checks and fully appreciate their responsibilities.
4. To understand the basic principles of safe and fuel-efficient driving and to establish best professional driving practice.
5. To ensure drivers have a thorough understanding of the Highway Code.
6. To improve drivers’ knowledge of Smart Motorways.
7. To understand the basic principles of Driver Wellbeing.
8. To understand the importance of being able to work with others.
9. To improve drivers’ understanding of their legal requirements and to make drivers aware of the recent changes.
10. To improve drivers’ awareness of mental health and ability.
