By the end if this course Drivers will be able to:
• Recognise the meaning of compliance and identify the obligations and responsibilities of operators, engineers, and drivers
• Describe the role of the CPC scheme in maintaining compliance.
• Explain how the Operator Compliance Risk Score and the Earned Recognition Schemes work
• Describe the audit process and be more aware of other schemes such as FORS
• Explain driver hours rules and tachograph usage.
• Demonstrate knowledge of defect checking and reporting.
• Explain the Fixed Penalty Scheme.
• Recognise the importance of the driver in an operation.
• Explain how telematic systems work and their benefits.
• Identify the role the driver plays in reducing emissions and decide how to apply more fuel-efficient driving behaviours.
