Description

After attending the course the driver should have an updated knowledge of tachograph legislation, and ability to use the machine. they should be able to demonstrate a suitable vehicle defect check and understand the importance or a nil defect procedure. candidates will be shown and need to be able to show understanding how to legally ensure the load is safe and secure. understand how to check and secure any equipment required for loading and unloading. understanding the importance of checking paperwork and making sure that the paper work is correct for the load and distribution. The driving section of the course will educate the driver with the importance of mirror work when manoeuvring, lane changes. observations and behavioural skills especially dealing with vulnerable road users. they will also understand the
importance of fuel savings which can be achieved by changes to how the candidate drives the vehicle in different situations.
Candidate will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the importance of wearing PPE, and understand procedures for safe driver deliveries of loads.
