By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
> Know which attributes make them a safe driver
> Be aware of actions to be taken if a bridge strike occurs
> Be aware of how to prevent bridge strikes from occurring
> The consequences of a bridge strike and the potential repercussions
> Know how work at height safely and push/pull/carry/lift objects
> Be able to explain how a driver’s role connects with the operators licence
> Understand EU Driver’s Hours Rules and Working Time Directive
> Be able to explain why we carry out First Use Checks, report defects and the record keeping requirements
> Be able to follow the defect policy and the Breakdown/incident procedures
> Have an awareness of vehicle theft/theft from the vehicle and vehicle hijack prevention measures that you can take
