The drivers will be educated on the general updates that have been happening in the world of logistics and leave the course with a better or refreshed state of mind. the Drivers will be able to interact and voice their opinions to discuss how this will affect them. they will also be updates on regular areas which as a professional driver they should be fully aware, for example speed limits for different vehicles on different types of roads, drivers having a solid understanding of VTG 6 plates on the vehicle, been fully aware of the traffic commissioner seven deadly sins and the potential penalties of an overloaded vehicle.
Candidates will have an updated understanding of the reasons for Daily defect checks, the procedures the company wants the candidates to follow. they also be updated on the potential fixed penalties that could be incurred.
Candidates will be re educated on the importance of completing an uncouple and recouple exercise in a safe manner. they will understand the common faults. after the course they will be able to complete the operation without any incident.
After attending the course candidates will have a better understanding of the Microlise system. How there actions as a driver impact the this system, and how the company produces KPI's which are used on a national level. drivers will also be educated on the potential new systems that will be added.
Candidates will be educated on what the company expects drivers to do in accident situations, they will also know their legal obligations. candidates will also be updated on the common causes of accidents in the UK.
Candidates will participate in an interactive quiz based on Drivers hours, working time directive, highways code, road signs. the session will not be a pass or fail but an opportunity to re educate drivers with knowledge they are required to know to complete their duties as a professional driver
