Description
The course will introduce, explain, update and practice candidates’ knowledge, understanding and skills both in the classroom and through practical exercises in relation to:
• The legislative responsibilities of the Driver
• The variety of load restraint systems available
• Vehicle weights, dimensions and additional requirements for specific types of loads
• The purpose of roadside checks
• Carrying out practical load securing exercises:
• To confirm the suitability of the vehicle
• The suitability of the chosen load restraint system
• To practice load security of appropriate loads, following company procedures and tiedown schemes
