Description

To inform school transport drivers about where responsibilities lie and how to communicate with the varies groups involved, To better equip school transport drivers to deal with the kind of issues and incidents they may come across on the school run. To understand the implications to safety of not being aware of certain issues, To enable school transport drivers to make a difference when things start to go wrong, To enable school transport drivers to earn the respect of their students. It is intended that drivers who undertake this course should develop their knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and, as a result, should be able to: Identify signs and symptoms of abuse, Know what to do if they are worried about a child or a vulnerable adult, Have awareness regarding the impact of behaviour/actions and ensure that these are not abusive or perceived to be abusive. Understand the importance of professionalism
