The drivers will be able to describe some of the key safety issues and how to negate them whilst delivering, or collecting goods from a customer site. This will include
Gaining and understanding of what makes a site unsafe and what a good site with good facilities might include.
Looking at the dangers specific to loading bays and how these are managed.
Understanding the importance of loading the vehicle properly and securing the load appropriately, conversely so it can be off loaded more easily and safely.
The importance of obeying traffic signs, working instructions and the speed limits set on sites.
