Description

The objectives of the individual modules within the modular course are to provide updates & raise awareness within the transport sector by enabling drivers to operate safely, within current legislation, regulations & policy, by ensuring compliance with the rules within the transport environment.

On completion of the training modules selected, the delegates will have a clearer understanding of the following:

The driver factors affecting road risk

Explaining the role of the enforcement authorities

How to correctly follow the rules for drivers' hours & remain tachograph compliant

Safety issues in the transport environment
Outlining the guide to maintaining vehicle roadworthiness & breakdown procedures


Understand vehicle loading, restraining &transporting loads safely
Raise awareness in relation to terrorist incidents & criminal activity within the transport sector

Explaining the risks associated with driving safely in the UK (WRRR) covering activities for all those who operate within transport logistics.
Outlining modern-day vulnerable road users

Promote driver fitness & driver wellbeing.
Explain how a drivers' attitude & behaviour can impact on driving safely & the consequences

The safety requirements for those who drive, load, and unload Dry Bulk Powder and that may encounter an accidental spillage and the risks and consequences if a driver fails to follow the correct precautions so to avoid injury.

Covers Blue Light Awareness, supporting drivers in their day-to-day operations, promoting safer road users, the safer use of public highways and a common understanding of road safety.
