Description

Following this course, candidates will obtain the knowledge to carry out a meaningful vehicle check which will include knowledge of what to check and how to check, components and devices. Attendance on this course will provide the candidate with sufficient knowledge to confidently take a vehicle on the road which is in a safe and road worthy condition. The course will also provide knowledge of the appropriate and correct method to collect and remove a semi-trailer. As well as ensuring that the trailer will not become detached whilst on the road, the course will help towards reducing damage to vehicles, for example, by misunderstanding air suspension requirements.

The course objective is to ascertain the current level of skill, ability, and understanding that the candidate has with regards to the operation of a petroleum tanker. Then, using the information gained during this assessment, provide teaching which is necessary for the canddiate to work safley within the rules and regulations which govern the operation of fuel tankers.

This will result in the driver working to a higher standard of safety and compliance.
