Description
By the end of this two-day programme, participants will be able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and professional judgement required to perform the role of a Driver Ambassador and Workplace Driver Assessor. Learners will be able to apply professional standards, communication and coaching techniques, and driver assessment methodologies to plan, conduct and review fair, consistent and evidence-based driver assessments. They will recognise the impact of human factors and driver behaviour on road safety, objectively assess driving performance, classify faults, gather and record evidence, and provide constructive feedback with appropriate development or referral actions. Participants will also be able to carry out structured in-vehicle assessments, including pre-drive safety checks, dynamic risk assessment, commentary driving, hazard perception, vehicle control, manoeuvring and workplace risk assessment. They will complete accurate assessment reports, deliver professional driver debriefs and produce S.M.A.R.T. development plans that promote safer driving, continuous improvement and compliance with professional driving standards.
