Description
By the end of the course, candidates will have an understanding of:
- The forces applying to a load in transit
- The requirements relating to securing of loads
- C&U regulations including dimensions (Heights, Widths, Projections).
- Requirements concerning Height Indicators and avoidance of Bridge Strikes
- Overloading and Weight Distribution; GVW and Axle Weights
- The effect of diminishing loads
- Safe practices including spot check weighing and load redistribution
- Road Traffic Act and Construction and Use Regulations
