Understand the importance of a systematic approach to complete the check and Nil / Defect reporting procedures and recording responsibilities.
Explain the importance of safe mirror configuration, tyre checks and legal standards, safe coupling and uncoupling of trailers (if required) and Load security.
Understand the importance of wearing PPE and safe vehicle operation at all times.
Identify the enforcement agencies including Police & DVSA and provide an understanding of the consequences of non- compliance together with their Powers, Penalties and impact on the ‘O’ licence.
