Back to Driving – LGV Drivers
To refresh LGV drivers’ knowledge of legal requirements and safe working practices relating to drivers’ hours, vehicle checks, load safety, and manual handling, in order to promote compliance and road safety.
CPC Course Objectives
On completion of the course, drivers will be able to:
Describe the key requirements of drivers’ hours regulations and correct use of tachographs.
Identify the purpose and requirements of daily vehicle walkaround checks and defect reporting.
Recognise the principles of safe loading and load security.
Identify common manual handling risks and apply basic safe handling techniques.
Understand the driver’s role in maintaining legal compliance and road safety.
