Description

Identify the key physical and mental health risks associated with professional driving and take practical steps to manage them. Recognise the three types of driver distraction and apply focus techniques to reduce their impact on the road. Understand their legal duty of care towards vulnerable road users including pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, and non-motorised road users. Demonstrate awareness of seasonal and environmental hazards and adapt their driving accordingly. Apply knowledge of the updated Highway Code, including the H Rules, to their everyday driving decisions. Understand the legal and professional consequences of failing to meet the standard expected of a licensed professional driver.
